The Nortel IP Phone 2004 (formerly known as the i2004 Internet Phone) offers advanced communications capabilities on networks using Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM), IP-enabled Meridian 1 PBX, and CS1000 VoIP systems. With it's large LCD display and TAPI compliance the IP Phone 2004 can interface directly with CallPilot and Personal Call Manager programs to provide onscreen displays of stored information. Also, because of IP compliance, the IP Phone 2004 can access firmware upgrades to enable new features. This means you won't have to buy a new phone to attain the latest features.

Easier Management.
The Nortel IP Phone 2004 is directly connected to the LAN via a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet connection. Direct connection allows for simplified management and network detection which makes moves, adds and changes (MAC) less expensive and time consuming. The Nortel IP Phone 2004's direct connection to LAN also allows customers to simplify their wiring system for easier access and efficient management.

Consolidated and customizable.
With employment of Nortel's Business Policy Switch and Ethernet Switch, Nortel IP Phones are more intelligently managed with call traffic prioritization and power-over-ethernet. Traffic prioritization with the Business Policy Switch allows for mission critical calls and applications being accessed through IP phones 2002 and 2004 to be allocated platinum-level bandwith, while conserving bandwith on less urgent traffic. Plus, power-over-ethernet through the Ethernet Switch sends continuous power to IP phones 2002 and 2004 through the same LAN cabling that the data network utilizes.
